My Movie predictions for Ready was following:

Opening day:

If liked  – 11-13 crores, would not be able to beat dabangg record of 14.5 crores,
If not liked – 8-10 crores
It managed – 13.5 crores
Opening Weekened:
If liked – 38-40 crores, would not be able to beat dabangg record of 48.5 crores,

If not liked – 25-27 crores

It managed – 40.0 crores
Opening Week:
If liked – 65-70 crores, would not be able to beat dabangg record of 80 crores,
If not liked – 35-40 crores
It managed – 69.5 crores

Lifetime:
If liked – 110-115 crores, would not be able to beat dabangg record of 143 crores – Blockbuster
It managed – 118 crores

Bodyguard can create history for Salman Khan
Never ever in history of Indian cinema an actor has been part of 3 back to back blockbusters in a span of an year itself. Salman Khan has the chance to create this sort of record with his upcoming Eid release Bodyguard. If Bodyguard do clicked at the boxoffice and has the collections to be declared as a blockbuster it would end the argument of who is numero uno in bollywood.
Quite honestly and obviously and obviously and honestly looking at both promos and songs on air currently I feel it does not have the same kind of mass hysteria effect of pulling people into theatres as it happened with Dabangg and Ready. Perhaps its average kind of music, little promotional activities and few promos are helping it.
 
But hang on…..
There are enough reasons for it to work big time
– Current Salman Khan Wave…..The Biggest reason it would take earth shattering opening – might surpass all time Dabangg’s record
– Remake generally works as we have seen in past with Wanted, Ready and Don
– Reaction to promo had been good if not the best, tailor made role for Sallu
– Eid Release – The muslim population ever ready love for Salman Khan – Eid movie release has sort of become a synonym for a Salman Blockbuster

 Therefore my prediction:
Opening day being Wednesday:
If liked  – 12-14 crores  – stands a decent chance to beat Dabangg’s opening day record of 14.5 crores , however being Wednesday I am little unsure had it been Friday release it would have for sure beaten it
If not liked – 10.5-11.5 crores

Opening Weekened (5 days):
If liked – 50-55 crores, would not be able to beat dabangg record of 48.5 crores of 3 days,
If not liked – 42-47 crores

Opening Week (9 days):
If liked – 85-90 crores, would not be able to beat dabangg record of 80 crores of 7 days,
If not liked – 55-60 crores

Lifetime:
If liked – 130-140 crores, would not be able to beat dabangg record of 143 crores – Blockbuster
If not liked – 70 crores – semi hit / above average

It would be interesting to see how Bodyguard fares now after review comes in, last time Ready was panned by critics but managed to do 120 crores and was a blockbuster.

Would be back once the movie finishes lifetime business for comparison.
